Derby based agencies, Status Social and Nielsen McAllister Public Relations (NMPR), have demonstrated the benefits of collaboration and networking in a recent recruitment drive.
Social media agency Status Social was seeking two additional social media managers to support recent new business wins and had shortlisted three high calibre clients for final interview. It was during this process that one candidate, Media and Communication Studies graduate Kerrie Oxford, was identified by director Mark Saxby as having broader PR skills that could potentially be more relevant to a specialist PR agency. Having worked with NMPR on a number of joint client campaigns, Mark contacted director Simon Wildash, to recommend Kerrie. Coincidentally, NMPR was also about to initiate a search for a new account handler.
“We have worked successfully with Status Social to integrate social media campaigns into our PR work, building on the strengths of both agencies to deliver results for our clients,” explains Simon. “The relationship has worked extremely well, and it is great that we have now been able to extend this cooperation into other areas as well.

Kerrie has now taken up the role of Senior Account Executive at NMPR and will be working across the agency’s business-to-business client base in the print, packaging and technology sectors.
